» Get Psyched for the Klondike!
Mad River District's Annual Klondike has been moved to Sat. February 26th due to EXCESSIVE SNOW! Get excited about competing against patrols from across the district. We have three patrols participating and WE ARE the reinging champion from 2010. The day begins at 7:30 am at the camp and ends between 3:30 to 4:00 pm. See you on the trail!
» Shelter Building Campout
This March build a shelter or be left our in the cold! The troop will be hiking into the backwoods of Camp Mattatuck to build our own survial shelters. This is always a popular activity with the scouts so pay attention to future announcements as to the exact date and mark your calendar for a boat load of fun!
» Class A Troop at Camp Workcoeman!
The scouts from Troop 55 recently completed a successful week of summer camp at Camp Workcoeman. They earned Class A Troop status, won the camp-wide games and were awarded a ribbon for best conservation project. Way to go Troop 55! The troop was led by Eagle Scout Candidate SPL Mike C and Life Scout ASPL Tristan K. Experienced campers as well as 5 first year campers made up the troop of 21 scouts. Congratulations to all for a job well done.
